The Vosges Kitchen A lot of restaurants offer the traditional meals of this area like Quiche Loraine, but also very special not very well known meals. In the Ferme Auberge you will find the French original 'cuisine' of the area. The fruit of the Vosges is the mirabelle, orchards full. Cakes, jam and wine from these berries don't tast very sweet. Try it, we think you like it. The area is also known for its chocolate and sweets. Little factories opens their doors to let you see how they are made and of course you can tast them. Do you notice a strange smell? There must be a farm in the neighbourhood which lays its Munster cheese to 'ventilate'. For us it was a very 'special' cheese-experiment. |
